About the Temple
Where Hanuman stands — not as a deity kept behind glass, but as a living presence felt in the stone, the camphor smoke, and the bare feet on cold granite floors.
Tucked at the edge of Sindhurajapuram village in the Chittoor plains, this temple has been the unbroken heart of the community for over a hundred and twenty years. It was not built as a grand project. It grew — one votive offering, one monsoon repair, one generation of devotion at a time.
Sri Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy — Hanuman in the posture of protection, right hand raised in the abhaya mudra — is the presiding deity. The idol, carved from a single granite block, draws pilgrims from across Chittoor District on Saturdays and during Hanuman Jayanti.
